EMPLOYMENT - Assistant Food & Beverage Manager - Concessions

LOCATION: Tulsa Area
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years’ work experience in exposition center, arena, stadium, collegiate or professional sports concessions required; three or more years’ preferred. Volunteer experience may be substituted for some or part of required work experience, depending on level of responsibility and complexity of organization where volunteer experienced gained. Possession of Oklahoma Serve Safe Certificate required OR ability to acquire one in a timely manner required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, customers, vendors and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and in particular with EXCEL. Ability to work nights and weekends with a work week of Wednesday - Sunday 50% of the time, Tues - Saturday 30% of the time, and Monday - Friday 20% of the time. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred. Experience in inventory count and control and cash management preferred. Successful candidate must complete background check.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the management of all aspects of Expo Square concessions including pre-event, event day and post event responsibilities in both front of the house and back of the house. Specific duties include managing elements of the product path; receiving, distribution, preparation, and production. Writing sales and financial reports. Assist in the management of staff, and not for profit organization volunteers. Further responsibilities include tracking, measuring, and reporting of sales, expenses, and inventory. Duties include seasonal responsibilities at alternate venues. Work will include weekend and evening hours. Other duties as assigned as needed.

Event management:
Responsible for opening and closing the front and back of the house on event day in addition to managing staff, food production, merchandising, speed of service, quality assurance and cash handling (collection and accountability). Responsible for the scheduling or hiring (as applicable) and management of volunteer groups and student workers for logistics leading up to and during the event.

Product and equipment logistics:
Manage staff in the movement and placement of assets to ensure they will be in the right place at the right time.

Inventory audits and cash handling:
Responsible for inventory audits and counts made in the warehouse and retail points of sale, and reports documenting inventory counts/audits as assigned.
